Ingredients: 1. cups Curd  2. tbsp Sugar , powdered 3. 50 grams Dark chocolate , grated to garnish Method: Whisk  and curd with sugar till sugar dissolves completely. After mixing freeze the curd in a bowl for 30 minutes. Than in a glass add grated chococlate after that pour freezed curd and again make a layer of chocolate again pour curd. You can make chocolate layer with chocolate syrup. than again freeze it. serve chilled.                                       

Banana Stem & Green Gram Curry - Bengali Style (Thor diye Moong Dal)

Thor / Banana stem is an amazing veggie, comprising of many essential nutrients. Many delicious recipes can be dished out of it. So here is a lentil curry of roasted moong dal (split green gram) combined with banana stem. This is an absolutely simple homemade recipe, without onion, garlic and too many spices. Light on the stomach, it is enjoyed with either plain steamed rice or chapatis.

Ingredients:
  1. Banana Stem, cut into small cubes - 250gm
  2. 1/2 cup dry roasted moong dal (split Green gram)
  3. 1-2 tbsp. mustard oil
  4. 2 dry red chilies
  5. 2 bay leaves
  6. 1 tsp. cumin seeds
  7. 1" cinnamon stick
  8. 2 green cardamoms
  9. 4-5 cloves
  10. 1 tsp. ginger grated
  11. salt to taste
  12. 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  13. 1 tsp. ghee
Preparation:
  • Pressure cook the banana stem in 2 cups of water for 2 to 3 whistles. Keep aside.
  • Fry the dal in a pan for 1 minute, keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and temper with cumin seeds, bay leaves, red chilies, cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms. Saute for a few seconds.
  • Add the ginger and fry for a few seconds more. Add the fried dal, salt and turmeric powder. Mix well and simmer on a low flame for 2-3 minutes. If it become dry you can add water.
  • Add boiled banana stem than stir well and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • When done, add ghee and stir.
Your dish is ready.
